Method for producing a porous sintered magnesia, batch for producing a coarse ceramic refractory product having a granular material made of the sintered magnesia, such a product and method for its production, lining of an industrial furnace, and industrial furnace
The invention relates to: a method for producing a granulation from sintered magnesia, wherein the sintered magnesia is produced via the sintering of pressed articles, in particular pellets, made of MgO powder, preferably MgO caustic powder, and then mechanically crushing the pressed articles, wherein they are sintered in such a way that the granulation has a grain porosity (total porosity) of 15 to 38 vol.%, preferably 20 to 38 vol.%; according to DIN EN 993-1:1195-04 and DIN EN 993-18:1999-01; and a backfill for producing a heavy-clay refractory, formed or unformed product containing the porous sintered magnesia; a product of this type produced from the backfill; and a method for the production thereof; as well as a lining, in particular a working lining and/or a brick back wall, of a high-volume industrial furnace, wherein the lining, in particular the working lining and/or the brick back wall, has at least one product of this type; and an industrial furnace of this type.
