Tactile Marker and Installation Method
Abstract The present invention is a tactile marker hollowed out at the bottom in the shape of a cone like gap or cavity structure. If it is installed on hard flooring, the hollowed portion of the metal marker is coated with a resin which fills the whole cavity, becoming a part of the tactile marker and firmly binding the tactile marker to the floor. The invention also has an attachment, an annular ring with serrated barbs and pointed feet that can be embedded at the bottom of the tactile marker. If it is installed on soft materials, simply insert the tip of the attachment into the floor material with a hammer, and the pointed feet keeps the tactile marker attached to the floor material. In most cases, there is no need to use bolt-in type metal tactile markers, nor is there a need to drill holes into the flooring, especially indoors and on smooth floorings.
