SINTERED PELLETS FOR SUPRESSING ALGAL GROWTH
A method of preventing algal growth in swimming pools, the method comprising the steps of: immersing sintered pellets comprising about 10 to 30 percent by weight of bromine to contact flowing water in the swimming pool; admitting water into interstices between said sintered pellets to contact said pellets and produce a biocidal solution; and releasing said solution into the swimming pool to supress algal growth in the swimming pool.
