Abstract The invention relates to an improved attachment means for attaching a plumbing fitting to a substrate, the attachment means including a baseplate having a front face to which the inlet is connectable, and a mounting plate extending from the baseplate, wherein the mounting plate has an outer surface which is formed divergently to the front face, and the mounting plate contains an aperture formed there through configured to receive a fixing element in a direction other than front-on to the baseplate, for attaching the plumbing fitting to a substrate. The invention also relates to a plumbing fitting comprising the improved attachment means and an inlet.
