LIGHTWEIGHT AND HIGH-STRENGTH CERAMSITE AND PREPARATION METHOD THEREOF
The present invention provides a lightweight and high-strength ceramsite and a preparation method thereof. The ceramsite of the present invention is spherical, and has a diameter of 3 mm to 20 mm, a compressive strength of 1.5 Mpa to 2 Mpa, a volume weight of 350 kg 30 kg/m3 , and X < 0.10 w/m-k. The ceramsite of the present invention is produced from raw materials that include various inorganic solid wastes accounting for more than 95% by a novel environmentally-friendly process according to an optimized formula. During the preparation process, no exhaust gas, waste water and waste residue are discharged. The additive provided in the present invention can ensure the foaming and expansion of the ceramsite during the high-temperature sintering, thereby effectively improving the supporting force of the network framework inside the ceramsite. The obtained ceramsite has pressure resistance, energy conservation and sound insulation superior to an ordinary ceramsite at the same volume-weight level.
