Apparatus for delivering a flowable material
An apparatus for delivering a flowable material, such as a flocculant or a coagulant to a sediment basin. The apparatus comprises a receptacle F for receiving rainwater during a rain event, a float G within the receptacle F, and a valve H for controlling a flow of the flowable material, wherein rainwater filling the receptacle F during a rain event causes the float G to rise and open the valve H, thereby allowing flow of the flowable material. The receptacle F has a drain hole J that allows the receptacle F to empty when the rain stops of that the valve H can close and stop the flow of coagulant a short period after the rain has stopped. The apparatus may have a roof Q, R, S that has a fixed section Q, a movable section R and an attachable section S so that the dimension of the roof can be varied so that different amounts of rainfall can cause the float G to rise and the valve H to open.
