THERMAL-INSULATING AND FIRE-RESISTANT GRADED PROTECTION STRUCTURE OF BRIDGE STAY CABLE AND ITS CONSTRUCTION METHOD
Abstract The invention is related to a thermal-insulating and fire-resistant graded protection of bridge stay cable systems. The stay cable has protection structures comprising a first-level protection area with a vertical distance of 11-20 meter from a bridge deck and a second-level protection area with a vertical distance of less than 11 meter from the bridge deck. Each structures comprising a fibre composite wrapping layer formed by winding a fibre composite wrapping tape with a width of 30-50 cm and a thickness of 7-30 mm around a stay cable sheath, and a winding direction at an angle from 15 to 35 degrees.
