Expansion joint and expansion joint cover plate
A cover plate for an expansion joint, wherein a surface of the cover plate has applied thereto an image. An expansion joint for installation at adjacent edges of concrete sections, the expansion joint comprising two movable members and a cover plate arranged to cover a gap between the two movable members, wherein the cover plate and at least one of the movable members have applied thereto an image. A method of applying an image to an expansion joint for installation at adjacent edges of flooring components to accommodate relative movement between the flooring components, wherein the method includes the steps of choosing the image to imitate the visual appearance of flooring surrounding the installed expansion joint; and applying the image to the expansion joint such that the expansion joint blends in to the visual appearance of the flooring surrounding the installed expansion joint.
