Computer Aided Design for Brick and Block Constructions and Control Software to Control a Machine to Construct a Building
Abstract A system for brick construction, the system including: a brick laying machine that is configured to: retrieve bricks; apply adhesive to bricks; and, place bricks; and, one or more processing devices configured to: use building plan data to generate wall data representative of walls with known wall length dimensions and known wall height dimensions; generate data of an order of placement of the bricks using the wall data, wherein generating the data of an order of placement of the bricks includes: identifying a position and orientation of each brick relative to a point of origin; determining brick stepping and brick nesting at wall intersections; identifying an order that bricks are to be placed for the construction of a brick structure; allocating an index number to each brick that is representative of the order that bricks are to be placed; and, in a brick database storing, for each brick, parameters: a type of each brick; the position and orientation of each brick relative to the point of origin; and, the index number allocated to each brick; and, control the brick laying machine, in accordance with the brick database, to construct a brick construction, including: retrieving each brick in order in accordance with the index number allocated to each brick; applying adhesive to each brick; and, placing each brick in order in accordance with: the index number allocated to each brick; and, the position and orientation of each brick relative to the point of origin.

Abstract A system for brick construction, the system including: a brick laying machine that is configured to: retrieve bricks; apply adhesive to bricks; and, place bricks; and, one or more processing devices configured to: use building plan data to generate wall data representative of walls with known wall length dimensions and known wall height dimensions; generate data of an order of placement of the bricks using the wall data, wherein generating the data of an order of placement of the bricks includes: identifying a position and orientation of each brick relative to a point of origin; determining brick stepping and brick nesting at wall intersections; identifying an order that bricks are to be placed for the construction of a brick structure; allocating an index number to each brick that is representative of the order that bricks are to be placed; and, in a brick database storing, for each brick, parameters: a type of each brick; the position and orientation of each brick relative to the point of origin; and, the index number allocated to each brick; and, control the brick laying machine, in accordance with the brick database, to construct a brick construction, including: retrieving each brick in order in accordance with the index number allocated to each brick; applying adhesive to each brick; and, placing each brick in order in accordance with: the index number allocated to each brick; and, the position and orientation of each brick relative to the point of origin.
