A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
A footing plate (10) is cast from steel in one integral piece and defines a platform (12) having a top surface and an underside. A plurality of tubes (14) extend downwardly from 5 the underside of the platform at the edges of the plate at non-orthogonal angles to the plate. The tubes (14) are configured to receive pins through the platform for fixing the footing plate into underlying ground. A central tube (34) extends down from the underside of the platform at the centre of the plate, substantially perpendicular to the plate. A plurality of ribs (42) extend from the central tube to the plurality of tubes. The footing 10 plate may include a levelling mechanism including a structural support defining a base (22) which can be adjusted relative to the platform.
