PENSTOCK WORKS RAILROAD AND GANTRY SYSTEM
The invention relates to a system (and devices) for performing penstock related work in difficult terrain. The object of the invention is to improve the efficiency of penstock construction and maintenance by adding a permanent railroad to the top of the penstock and installing moveable gantry structures that can operate independent of the penstock itself, thus enabling the entire work to be performed in a more controlled, confined and accessible manner. The net effect is to provide a completely self-contained and environmentally friendly construction and access system that does not require the use of costly temporary or permanent access roads.
Linvention concerne un système (et des dispositifs) permettant deffectuer du travail en lien avec des canaux damenée en terrain difficile. Lobjet de linvention est daméliorer lefficacité de la construction et de lentretien des canaux damenée en ajoutant une voie ferrée permanente au sommet du canal damenée et en installant des structures de portique mobiles qui peuvent fonctionner indépendamment du canal damenée en lui-même. Cela permet donc que tout le travail soit effectué dune manière mieux contrôlée, délimitée et accessible. Leffet net consiste à fournir une construction complètement autonome et écologique ainsi quun système daccès qui ne requiert pas lutilisation de routes daccès temporaires ou permanentes coûteuses.
