L'invention concerne un dispositif de déclenchement d'avalanches comportant au moins une enceinte (4) de confinement d'un mélange explosif gazeux présentant une ouverture tournée vers le bas, équipée de moyens d'alimentation (15, 16) en gaz, conçus pour remplir, au moins en partie, le volume délimité par l'enceinte (4) avec le mélange explosif gazeux d'une densité inférieure à celle de l'air, le dispositif comportant en outre des moyens d'allumage (14) de ce mélange, caractérisé en ce que l'enceinte (4) présente une forme générale de cloche ou tronconique, d'axe sensiblement vertical.
The invention relates to an avalanche triggering device comprising at least one enclosure (4) for confining an explosive gas mixture, having a downward-facing opening and being equipped with gas supply means (15, 16) designed to at least partly fill the volume defined by the enclosure (4) with the explosive gas mixture at a density less than that of the air, the device also comprising means (14) for igniting this mixture; which device is characterized in that the enclosure (4) is in the general shape of a bell or frustoconical shape with an approximately vertical axis.
