A system for use with a building having a windowed portion, the system comprising: a fire-resistant sheet, the sheet in use, having: (i) an unfurled configuration, wherein the sheet occludes substantially all of the windowed portion; and (ii) a furled configuration, wherein the sheet is one or more of rolled and folded and is disposed adjacent the top of said windowed portion thereby to reveal at least substantially all of said windowed portion; and a suspension mechanism for, in use, releasably securing the sheet in the furled configuration.
