PRE-CAST STAIR MID-LANDING SUPPORT PLATE
The present invention relates to support plates for connecting pre-cast concrete mid-landings to shear walls of residential or commercial buildings, in particular a support plate comprising two parts. The first part has an inside surface that is cast in the shear wall of a residential or commercial building at the height and location where the pre-cast concrete mid-landing is to be connected to the shear wall and having an outside surface facing the building interior against which the pre-cast concrete mid-landing will be placed. The first part has first and second vertical sides, a top end and a bottom end and having a plurality of reinforcing studs extending outwardly from the inside surface and into the shear wall wherein each of said studs having a stud head, and said studs and heads cast into the shear wall. The second part of the support plate has a first portion and a second portion where the first portion has a top surface that the pre-cast concrete mid-landing will sit upon, a bottom surface facing the space under the pre-cast concrete mid-landingõ and has at least one hole through it wherein each hole is sized and shaped to accept a bolt for secure connection to the bottom of the pre-cast concrete mid-landing. The second portion is embedded into a hollow extrusion extending from said inside surface of the first part outwardly into the shear wall.
