To provide a support member to support a treadboard that enhances workability of installation work of a catwalk or stair landing.SOLUTION: A catwalk includes a treadboard member, and a support member 1 to support the treadboard member. The support member 1 comprises a first support member 10. The first support member 10 has a first support part 11 extending in a first direction Y, and two second support parts 12 formed integrally with the first support part 11 and extending in a direction X crossing the first direction. The first support part 11 is provided with at least one recess 13 on the side of a support face 10a supporting the treadboard member, and also provided with at least one recess 14 on the side of a face opposite to the face 10a supporting the treadboard member 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
