WASTE CONTAINER
The invention relates to a waste container (10) comprising a casing (12) having a front wall (18) wherein an opening (17) is provided which can be closed by means of a door (15). Means are provided for actuating the door (15) adapted to rotate the door (15) about a hinge point (C) to move it from a closed position wherein the door (15) is proximal with respect to the front wall (18) to close the opening (17), to an open position where the door (15) is distal with respect to the front wall (18) and vice versa. The door actuating means (15) are controlled by a control unit (50) and the container (10) is provided with a photocell (80) electrically connected to the control unit (50) and configured to send an electrical signal to the control unit (50) when the photocell (80) detects a moving object near the door (15) so that the control unit (50) activates the door actuating means (15). The photocell (80) is placed on the door (15).
