MONITORING GROUND ENGAGING PRODUCTS
Apparatus and methods for detecting a characteristic of a ground engaging product on earth working equipment are described. The apparatus is operable to: measure a temperature profile at a ground engaging product location; compare the measured temperature profile with an expected temperature profile for that ground engaging product; and indicate a characteristic of the ground engaging product based on the comparison. Thermal inserts for use with ground engaging products on earth working equipment are also described.
L'invention concerne un appareil et des procédés pour détecter une caractéristique d'un produit entrant en contact avec le sol sur un équipement de terrassement. L'appareil est utilisable pour : mesurer un profil de température au niveau d'un emplacement de produit entrant en contact avec le sol ; comparer le profil de température mesuré à un profil de température prévu pour ce produit entrant en contact avec le sol ; et indiquer une caractéristique du produit entrant en contact avec le sol sur la base de la comparaison. L'invention concerne également des inserts thermiques destinés à être utilisés avec des produits entrant en contact avec le sol sur un équipement de terrassement.
