The invention discloses an application of a composite oxide Li2ZnO2 serving as a temperature-stable type microwave dielectric ceramic with ultralow dielectric constant. Apreparation method of the composite oxide Li2ZnO2 comprises the following steps: (1) Li2CO3 and ZnO initial powder with the purity higher than 99.9% in percentage by weight is weighed and blended according to composition of Li2ZnO2; (2), raw materials in the step (1) are mixed for 12 h through wet ball milling, a ball milling medium adopts absolute ethyl alcohol, and the materials are dried and pre-sintered for 6 h in the air atmosphere at the temperature of700 DEG C; a binder is added to the powder prepared in the step (2), the mixture is subjected to granulation and compression forming and finally sintered for 4 h in the air atmosphere at the temperature of 750-800 DEG C; and the binder adopts a polyvinyl alcohol solution with the mass concentration of 5%, and the adding quantity of the polyvinyl alcohol accounts for 3% of the total mass of the powder. The preparedceramic is well sintered, the dielectric constant reaches 11.5-12.2, the quality factorQf is as high as 117,000-138,000 GHz, the temperature coefficient of resonance frequency is small, and the microwave dielectric ceramic Li2ZnO2 has a great application value in industry.
