A passively noise-reducing type guardrail device for rail transit overhead bridges comprises a guiderail, a sound-insulating plate, supports and connecting components. The guiderail and the sound-insulating plate are of long through structures and are arranged on the inner side and the outer side of a steel rail respectively. The supports include an L-shaped guardrail support and an L-shaped sound-insulating plate support, cooperate with the connecting components to fasten the guardrail, the sound-insulating plate and the basic steel rail and are arranged between the basic steel rail fasteners. An application method of the passively noise-reducing type guardrail device includes enabling a horizontal arm of the L-shaped guardrail support to penetrate the bottom of the inner side of the basic steel rail, enabling a horizontal arm of the L-shaped sound-insulating plate support to penetrate the bottom of the outer side of the steel rail, overlaying the horizontal arm of the L-shaped sound-insulating plate support on the horizontal arm of the L-shaped guardrail support, fixing the two horizontal arms of the supports to the steel rail from two sides through bolt components and fastening plates respectively, and arranging insulating rubber sleeves at positions where the fastening plates contact with the steel rail; a plurality of such supports are utilized to mount the guardrails and the sound-insulating plates. The passively noise-reducing type guardrail device is simple in structure and convenient to mount, rail and wheel noise is reduced on the premise of guaranteeing safety in train operation, and construction and operation costs are reduced.
