The invention provides an automatic control system for a household water heater, and belongs to the technical field of automatic control. The automatic control system for the household water heater comprises an infrared emitter, an infrared receiver, a controller, a lamp, a line bundle and a water heater body; the infrared emitter is arranged on the rear surface of a gate; the infrared receiver is arranged on an indoor first partition wall; the infrared emitter and the infrared receiver are symmetrically distributed; the controller is arranged in a drawing room; the first lamp is arranged on the left wall of the drawing room, and while the second lamp is arranged on the left wall of a bedroom; the water heater body is arranged on the first partition wall of a toilet; when the gate is opened, the infrared receiver can receive a signal and transmit to the controller to control the lamp and the water heater body to be on. The automatic control system for the household water heater is reasonable in design, simple in structure, and suitable for design of automatic control devices of houses.
