The invention discloses a waterproof building material. The waterproof building material comprises, by weight, 30-50 parts of acrylate, 20-30 parts of phenolic resin, 10-15 parts of polyvinyl alcohol, 5-15 parts of heavy calcium carbonate, 3-8 parts of kaolin, 5-10 parts of wood fiber, 0.5-2 parts of a dispersant, 1.5-3.5 parts of a water reducer, 0.1-3 parts of a stabilizer and 0.1-0.5 parts of an antifoaming agent. The building material disclosed in the invention has the advantages of excellent waterproof performance, very good ageing, corrosion and puncture resistance, increased tension strength and heat resistance, and moderate price, and can be widely used in the building industry.
