The invention discloses a fireproof energy-saving building block, raw materials of which comprise the following ingredients, by weight, 100 parts of meerschaum, 60-75 parts of light calcium carbonate, 25-30 parts of vermiculite, 20-30 parts of cement, 18-24 parts of brucite fiber, 10-15 parts of glass fiber cotton, 12-15 parts of polypropylene expanded pellets, 2-5 parts of talcum powder and 0.5-1 part of diatomite. According to the fireproof energy-saving building block, heat conductivity coefficient is less than 0.04 W/(m.k), and thermal insulation performance is excellent. Meanwhile, the raw materials are cheap and easily available, costs are low, and fireproof performance is strong. Thus, safety factor of a building wall is raised.
