A platform for research: civil engineering, architecture and urbanism
The invention relates to a method for preparing a self-lubricating silicon carbide sealing material through pressureless sintering. Through a composition design, appropriate sintering aids and additives are selected, and liquid phase sintering is adopted, so that the sintering temperature is reduced, and then the power consumption is greatly reduced. The self-lubricating silicon carbide material prepared by the method disclosed by the invention has density of 2.95- 3.10g/cm<3>, bending strength of 200-450MPa, elastic modulus of 180- 350GPa, and Vickers hardness of 15-24GPa, and the coefficient of friction between the self-lubricating silicon carbide material and a silicon nitride ceramic is 0.25-0.30.
