The invention discloses an improved method of a sluice submerged radial gate service walkway and a sluice submerged radial gate service walkway structure. The method is characterized in that an existing long vertical crawling ladder (3) connected with a water seal and side wheel service platform (2) on a gate pier (1) is cancelled; a to-the-peak passage (4) reaching the pier top is arranged on the inner side, closest to an oil cylinder hinged support service platform (5), of the piper top in order to decrease the length of the to-the-peak passage; meanwhile, an intercommunication passage (6) connected with the water seal and side wheel service platform is additionally arranged at the oil cylinder hinged support service platform for convenience in service operation; a connecting passage (8) between an existing oil cylinder hinged support service platform and a bracket is kept. By applying the improved method, the passage is arranged between every two adjacent operation platforms behind a gate, that the service work is greatly facilitated, and the service efficiency is improved; the passages respectively adopt a step ladder structure other than a vertical crawling ladder so as to be quite convenient for going up or coming down; in addition, as each of the passages is provided with a guardrail, the safety of overhauling is improved significantly.
