Pin-joint-shaped double steel pipe buckling restraining structural member
The invention provides a structural member that is manufactured from double steel pipe and has a pin joint shape, whereby a double steel pipe buckling restraining structural member comprising an axial force pipe and stiffening pipe exhibits stable behavior under compressive axial force. The clearance of a stiffening pipe (2) with respect to a reinforcing body (4) is maintained such that when the reinforcing body (4) inclines with respect to the axial line of an axial force pipe (1) due to the operation of axial force on the axial force pipe (1), the ratio (PC2/PC1) of the inner surface contact force of the stiffening pipe at the end (4b) of the reinforcing body which is opposite a crevice and the inner surface contact force of the stiffening pipe at the end (4a) on the crevice side is between 0.40 - 0.65. In addition, the length by which the stiffening pipe (2) and the reinforcing body overlap is maintained at at least 1.1 times the outer diameter at the overlapping portion of the reinforcing body.
