The invention discloses a treatment method for a strip mine goaf. The method includes the treatment method for a lower-part goaf of an open pit and the treatment method for a lower-part goaf of a slope of a strip mine; the treatment method for the lower-part goaf of the open pit evaluates the stability of goaf cavities to obtain the main parameters of each goaf cavity: a minimal safe thickness h0, a safety factor K, and each device security assurance coefficient which includes a drilling machine assurance coefficient Z and the maximal device assurance coefficient M, thickness H1 from the top plate of the goaf to the cover rock at a certain level, thickness Hlower of the cover rock after down digging for one step from the above level and a safety factor Klower after down digging for one step; the goaf cavities are treated in a classified manner according to the parameters of the goaf cavities; the treatment method for the lower-part goaf of the slope of the strip mine includes three filling methods, respectively being dry type filling, pasty fluid cemented filling and high-water material filling.
