The invention discloses an induced caving method for a concealed goaf of a strip mine, and relates to the field of mining. Comprising the following steps: address investigation: acquiring the position, size and form of a goaf according to historical mining records and in combination with a geological radar; performing three-dimensional modeling, namely performing three-dimensional modeling on the goaf according to the survey data; carrying out risk assessment and positioning, carrying out stress analysis according to the modeling model, and determining a grouting position according to an analysis result; drilling and grouting are conducted, specifically, drilling is conducted according to the determined grouting position, then a grouting material is selected, and grouting is conducted in the hole after the grouting speed is determined; and a discrete cushion layer is laid, after grouting is finished, waste rocks or tailings are laid according to roof caving and the scale of the roof caving, and then tamping treatment is conducted. By expanding the effective exposed area of the periphery of the goaf, natural caving of the goaf roof is induced, and safe, economical and efficient caving treatment is achieved.
