The invention discloses fast-setting cement paste based on a single core of tackifier. The fast-setting cement paste comprises sulphate aluminum cement, water and an additive in a weight ratio of 100: (50-100): (0.05-2). The invention further discloses a preparation method of the cement paste. The preparation method comprises steps as follows: 1), the additive is placed in the water and stirred to be sufficiently dissolved, and an additive solution is prepared; 2), cement and water are mixed and stirred to be sufficiently dissolved, and cement slurry is prepared; 3), the cement slurry and the additive solution are mixed and uniformly stirred, and the cement paste is obtained. The prepared fast-setting cement paste overcomes the defects of overlong hydration and gelation time of ordinary portland cement with adoption of the sulphate aluminum cement and an accelerator, the construction time is shortened, and the construction efficiency is improved; compared with conventional portland cement paste, the setting time is short, the flowing water resistance capability is high, the 1d compressive strength is not less than 3MPa, the 3d compressive strength is not less than 10 MPa, and the cement paste has remarkable superiority.
