The invention relates to a method for preparing building material from waste ceramic. The method is simple in process, and high in solid waste utilization rate; the building material is light in weight, good in strength, good in durability, low in energy consumption and pollution-free to the environment; the raw materials such as cement, waste ceramic and gypsum are evenly mixed and stirred, molded by use of a mold, cured by use of stem and then placed outdoors at a normal temperature for 10-15 days, and finally, the finished product can be obtained.
