The invention discloses a production method for a paving brick. The production method comprises the following steps: crushing diopside and coal gangue through a crusher, then, adding the crushed diopside and coal gangue, fly ash and clay into a ball mill for grinding into powder; molding the powder through a brick machine under molding pressure of 30-40 MPa, wherein the molding moisture is 7-8%; after molding, drying a preform at 85-100 DEG C until moisture content is lower than 1%; glazing by adopting a glaze pouring mode, and keeping the temperature of the preform to be 45-55 DEG during glazing, wherein the specific gravity of the glaze slurry is 1.55-1.65; after glazing, sintering the preform in a 36-m electric heating roller kiln at 1,000-1,050 DEG C. According to the production method for the paving brick, disclosed by the invention, the diopside and the coal ash are used as raw materials to produce the paving brick, so that not only is low-temperature quick sintering realized, but also the production energy consumption is greatly lowered; moreover, the produced product has the excellent performance such as high mechanical strength, good thermal stability, and low water absorption rate.
