The invention discloses a black sintered environment-friendly landscape brick and a production method thereof. The landscape brick comprises 70 to 95 percent by weight of shale and 5 to 15 percent by weight of titanic iron ore, wherein the sum of the weight percentages of all raw materials is less than or equal to 100 percent. The production method comprises the steps of crushing, screening, blank mixing, blank production and oxygen-deficient roasting. The landscape brick adopts the shale and particularly adopts shale lean iron ore and shale iron ore tailings as main components, so that the utilization rate of smelting wastes can be improved, land resources can be saved, and the environmental pollution can be reduced; when the titanic iron ore is reduced and roasted in the deficiency of oxygen at an appropriate temperature, TiO2 in the titanic iron ore is reduced to titanium black consisting of low-valence titanium oxide (TinO<2n-1>, n is more than 1 and less than 20) or titanium oxynitride (TiOxNy, (x+y) is more than 0.3 and less than 1 to 7), so that the produced landscape brick is pure in color, uniform, relatively high in pressure resistance and bending resistance and small in deformation; the production method is simple in process and stable in quality.
