The invention relates to modified magnesium oxychloride bone cement as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The magnesium oxychloride bone cement is characterized by being prepared from the following raw materials in percentage by mass: 35-55% of magnesium oxide, 10-15% of magnesium chloride, 0.6-1.5% of hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, 1%-2.5% of sodium carboxymethylcellulose, 0.3-0.9% of xanthan gum, 0.6-1.5% of white dextrin and 25-35% of deionized water. The strength and water resistance of the modified magnesium oxychloride bone cement are significantly improved compared with those of the prior art and the modified magnesium oxychloride bone cement has good application prospects when applied in the field of biomedical materials as bone repair materials.
