The invention discloses a preparation method of a non-burnt brick. The method comprises the following steps: crushing waste modeling sand and gravel according to a certain ratio to particles having a size less than 3mm; adding fly ash and sodium silicate and performing stirring till the mixture is uniformly mixed; putting the mixture into a mould for vibration moulding; allowing the resultant product to stand for 4 hours; demoulding; and allowing the resultant product to stand and maintain for 3 days to obtain the non-burnt brick. According to the invention, the waste modeling sand is used as the main material of the non-burnt brick, which makes full use of the waste modeling sand, and a problem of treatment of the waste modeling sand that is waste generated from foundry enterprises is well solved. At the same time, for the waste modeling sand is discarded waste generated from foundry enterprises and is low in cost. Therefore, the non-burnt brick in the invention is low in cost, which takes great advantage in market. The prepared non-burnt brick has compression strength reaching to 19Mpa, water absorption reaching to 8%, and good properties.
