The invention discloses a preparation method of rice husk charcoal model sediment for a movable bed sediment model test. The method comprises the steps that rice husks are selected as raw materials and are carbonized through a kilning method and a destructive distillation method, the rice husk carbon is formed by carrying out destructive distillation and oxygen-free carbonization on the rice husk raw materials through a carbonizing machine at high temperature inside a kiln, and the temperature inside the kiln is controlled to range from 300 DEG C to 800 DEG C in the process; smashing and separation are carried out, and rice husk carbon particles with the diameter ranging from 0.05 mm to 0.8 mm are obtained; the rice husk carbon particles are soaked in a 1-5% detergent solution used as a dispersing agent for 3 h to 5 h and then cleaned, and then the rice husk charcoal model sediment is obtained. The rice husk charcoal model sediment is stable in physicochemical characteristic, good in movement and sediment transport characteristic, and lower in cost, the problems that in existing sediment physical model tests, usually-adopted wood bit model sediment is putrescible, existing composite sediment is high in cost, and the particle diameter cannot be smaller than 0.1 mm easily are solved, and new practical resources which are good in performance and low in cost are provided for sediment selection of the movable bed sediment model test.
