The semi-submersible platform is configured in a V-shape to reduce motion of the semi-submersible platform caused by rough sea conditions. The semi-submersible platform has a vessel docking area within the platform and a balancing unit to balance the unsymmetrical load of the platform that protects a vessel in the docking area from rough sea conditions.
