The invention discloses a construction decorative material and a production technology thereof. The decorative material is composed of cotton cloth, wood plate, adhesive, pigments, and a flame retardant. The production technology comprises the following steps: bleaching the cotton cloth, injecting dyes into a pattern template, printing patterns on the cotton cloth by the pattern template, drying the printed cloth in air, cutting, flattening the cloth by an iron, evenly painting a fireproof flame retardant on the cloth, adhering the cloth onto a wood plate by an adhesive, placing a wood plate with a same size onto the wood plate, and tightly pressing so as to firmly adhere the cloth to the wood plate. The decorative material has the advantages of lightness, wear resistance, firmness, beauty, and easiness for cleaning, and thus is widely used in the technical field of construction decoration and finishing.
