The invention relates to a preparation method of a refractory material binding agent. A preparation method of a carbon-carbon combined refractory material binding agent comprises the following production steps: (A) performing high-temperature and high-pressure reaction on crystalline flake graphite, concentrated sulfuric acid, permanganate and water to prepare a liquid graphite glue molten solution; and (B) adding phenol, basic sodium salt and formaldehyde into the graphite glue molten solution prepared in the step A, and performing high-temperature and high-pressure reaction to prepare the carbon-carbon combined refractory material binding agent. By adopting the preparation method of the carbon-carbon combined refractory material binding agent, disclosed by the invention, a novel carbon-carbon combined refractory material binding agent with a prominent reinforcement effect can be prepared by performing special acidification treatment on graphite, then adding phenol and formaldehyde, and also taking the basic sodium salt as a catalyst; and carbon is added into a refractory and fire-proof material in a binding agent form so as to ensure that the defect that carbon of a carbon-containing refractory material is easy to oxidize at an oxidizing atmosphere can be relatively well reduced and relieved, and the anti-oxidation performance of graphite at the oxidizing atmosphere can be significantly improved.
