The invention provides a lane structure of a public road crossing, wherein a position-waiting lane section and a variable lane section are sequentially arranged along the direction of driving into the road crossing; the lane structure also comprises a first traffic light used for indicating the traffic stream entering the position-waiting lane section to enter the variable lane section at the right moment, and a second traffic light used for indicating the traffic stream entering the variable lane section to pass through the public road crossing at the right moment; the variable lane section comprises a though lane and a through and left lane which are arranged in parallel; the through lane is used for indicating vehicles to go through the road crossing from the through lane; the through and left lane is used for indicating the vehicles to pass through road crossing by going straightly or turning left from the through and left lane; the position-waiting lane comprises a though position-waiting lane and a left position-waiting lane which are arranged in parallel; an exit of the though position-waiting lane just faces to an entrance of the though lane; an exit of the left position-waiting lane just faces to an entrance of the through and left lane. When the vehicles pass through the public road crossing by going straightly, a plurality of lanes are available, so that straight traffic flow is greatly improved, and the speed is further accelerated.
