A method for reinforcing a river levee concrete cantilever structure comprises the steps that (1) a first reinforcing steel bar 1 is planted in at a pile end A in the annular direction, and the length of the part, planted into a concrete pile, of the first reinforcing steel bar 1 has to meet the demand for an anchoring length; (2) a second reinforcing steel bar 2 and a third reinforcing steel bar 3 are planted in a cantilever support B and a pile body C, and a reinforced concrete straining beam 4 is poured; (3) a fourth reinforcing steel bar 5 and a fifth reinforcing steel bar 6 are planted in the pile body C in advance, a reinforced concrete cantilever beam 7 is poured, and an anchor rod 8 is constructed at the beam end D of the cantilever beam.
