The invention discloses a roof greening construction method. The method sequentially comprises the steps that water prevention and leveling are conducted on a roof, a retaining wall is arranged on the roof, supporting pier studs are constructed on the roof, a drainage layer is laid on the roof, filling in a non-planting area is conducted, filling in a planting area is conducted, and planting and reinforcing are conducted. Moreover, SBS modified asphalt waterproofing materials are used for achieving the waterproof function, light ceramic particles are used for drainage, the waterproof requirement, the drainage requirement and the like of roof greening can be completely met, and existing roof greening construction problems can be solved.
