The invention discloses a key hole protecting device with a cam and a dial. The key hole protecting device comprises a rotating shaft with the outer end provided with a dialing handle, the cam, the dial provided with a password groove and a dial force bearing point, and a key hole baffle provided with a blocking rod. A dialing force point capable of acting on the dial force bearing point and enabling the dial to rotate is arranged on the outer side of the rotating shaft, and the dial is arranged on the outer side of the rotating shaft. The key hole protecting device is characterized in that the cam which can rotate along with the rotating shaft is arranged on the rotating shaft, the outer edge of the cam can push the blocking rod so that the key hole baffle can seal a cylinder lock hole, a concaved area of the cam allows the blocking rod to enter the password groove, and therefore the key hole baffle can open the cylinder lock hole. The key hole protecting device has the snooping preventing function and further has the function of sealing the cylinder lock hole through rotation of the handle. The key hole protecting device can be widely used in the fields of antitheft doors, safety boxes, containers, decorative doors, oil and gas field valves and other locks needing to be protected.
