The invention provides a light environment-friendly glass magnesium board which comprises slurry and a glass fiber layer, wherein the slurry comprises the following components in parts by weight: 95-110 parts of magnesium oxide, 80-90 parts of anhydrous magnesium chloride, 25-70 parts of brick powder, 35-55 parts of saw dust and 3-10 parts of a modifier, wherein the particle size of the brick powder is greater than 0.04mm and is smaller than 0.1mm; and the particle sizes of the particles in the saw dust are smaller than 3mm. The preparation method comprises the following steps: firstly, providing a 50wt%-60wt% magnesium oxide water solution; adding the magnesium oxide, the brick powder, the saw dust and the modifier to the magnesium oxide water solution to prepare the slurry; foaming the slurry so as to obtain the foamed slurry; and preparing the glass magnesium board from the foamed slurry and glass fiber cloth through a board-making technology. According to the light environment-friendly glass magnesium board, dissolution of the brick powder can be accelerated; the strength and the tenacity of the slurry are improved; the brick powder has relatively good hygroscopic property; and the active magnesia can be inhibited by the hygroscopic property.
