The invention provides a self-resetting magneto-rheological multidimensional vibration isolation and reduction device with a self-resetting function and a multidimensional vibration reduction capability. The device comprises a base and a magneto-rheological damper, wherein a spherical hinge support seat is arranged at the upper part of the edge of the base and is connected to a spherical hinge cover plate through bolts; one end of the magneto-rheological damper is arranged between the spherical hinge cover plate and the spherical hinge support seat; the other end of the magneto-rheological damper is arranged between the spherical hinge cover plate and a spherical hinge connection part; the spherical hinge cover plate is also connected to the spherical hinge connection part through bolts; the spherical hinge connection part sleeves a resetting column; the top of the spherical hinge connection part is connected with a top plate through bolts; the top plate is arranged at the upper part of the resetting column. Through the device, the horizontal bidirectional vibration reduction can be implemented; the external excitation is isolated while the vibration energy can be consumed, so that the seismic isolation device is protected from being pulled and broken under the high external excitation and automatically reset after the external excitation is reduced or eliminated; besides, the device is simple in structure, high in energy consumption capability, low in energy consumption, high in reliability, continuous and adjustable in damping force.
