The invention discloses an ardealite-based imitation pinewood structure building material and a preparation method thereof. The ardealite-based imitation pinewood structure building material is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 90-180 parts of ardealite, 70-110 parts of electrolysis yellow phosphorus slag and 5-10 parts of quick lime. The preparation method of the building material comprises the following steps: proportioning raw materials; aging; forming; carrying out autoclaved curing; preparing a ardealite substrate; drying; and spraying, thereby obtaining a finished product. The ardealite-based imitation pinewood structure building material has the characteristics of simple construction process, light weight, good waterproof and fireproof performances, high compressive strength, high breaking strength and good weather fastness; as a weather fastness building material, the ardealite-based imitation pinewood structure building material has good decoration effect; in addition, lots of ardealite is consumed and exploitation of natural wood is reduced; therefore, the ardealite-based imitation pinewood structure building material and the preparation method thereof have very important significance for environment protection and realization of sustainable development.
