The invention discloses a method for preparing a square pavement decorative brick sintered by manganese residue solid waste. The method comprises the following steps: (1) preparing manganese residue solid waste, shale and ceramic powder; (2) mixing the raw materials in the step (1) and grinding, or respectively grinding and mixing; (3) adding clean water into the mixture obtained in the step (2), uniformly stirring, digesting for 48 hours, and molding by pressing to prepare a blank, wherein the water content of raw materials of the mixture is 15-18 percent due to the amount of the added clean water; (4) drying, roasting and cooling the blank to obtain a product. The method has the advantages of large manganese residue doping amount, simple process and low production cost, and the prepared product has the advantages of no toxicity, attractive appearance, large tensile strength, abrasion resistance and strong water permeability.
