The machine for sweeping the road surface comprises a power machine. The power machine is connected with one end of a power shaft, and the other end of the power shaft is connected with a reverser. The reverser is connected with a main driving shaft. A left bearing is arranged at the left end of the main driving shaft, and a right bearing is arranged at the right end of the main driving shaft. The part, from the reverser to the left bearing, of the main driving shaft and the part, from the reverser to the right bearing, of the main driving shaft are each provided with two driving chain wheels. The driving chain wheels are connected with corresponding driven chain wheels through chains, and the driven chain wheels are connected with reversing transmissions through driven chain wheel shafts. Main belt pulleys are arranged on the upper portions of the reversing transmissions, and the main belt pulleys are connected with slave belt pulleys through triangular belts. The lower ends of the slave belt pulleys are connected with cleaning disks. The reverser, the left bearing, the right bearing, the driven chain wheels, the reversing transmissions, the main belt pulleys and the slave belt pulleys are all fixedly connected to a supporting steel plate, and the cleaning disks are arranged on the lower portion of the supporting steel plate.
