A road sweeping machine (2) is provided for comprising a motor apparatus (1), a chassis (3) supporting a driving cab (4), a tipper bin (5), and an intermediate compartment (7) placed between the driving cab (4) and the tipper bin (5), the motor apparatus (1) being inserted in the intermediate compartment (7) and comprising a radiant device (9) and a catalytic reduction unit (13) of the exhaust gas placed at least in part adjacent to each other at the top of the intermediate compartment (7), the radiant device (9) having an extension plane (9b) inclined between 30° and 60° with respect to the forward drive direction (2a) of the road sweeping machine (1) and extending at least mainly inside the intermediate compartment (7).
