The invention discloses a construction method for a flower-basket-shaped support of a steel structure water tower. The method comprises the steps that 1, components used for composing the flower-basket-shaped support of the water tower are decomposed and subjected to blanking in a factory, and then according to the space structure of the flower-basket-shaped support of the water tower, the intersecting lines of the components are cut; 2, the components are transported to the installation site; 3, the components are assembled into the flower-basket-shaped support of the water tower at the installation site. Due to the fact that the intersecting lines of the components are cut ready in the factory, the assembly operation at the installation site can be conducted quite fast, the assembly quality is quite high, dimensional deviation does not happens to the assembled flower-basket-shaped support of the water tower, and the appearance is beautiful; meanwhile, due to the fact that the components instead of the integral structure is transported, the transportation cost is low. Therefore, by means of the construction method for the flower-basket-shaped support of the steel structure water tower, the construction quality and constriction efficiency can be improved, and the transportation cost is low.
