The cover cap comprises a transverse plate and a vertical plate, wherein the transverse plate and vertical plate are connected in the shape of 7; the transverse plate is connected with the vertical plate through a circular-arc-shaped transitional plate; the transverse plate is of a concave structure; the transverse plate comprises a first side edge, a bottom edge and a second side edge, which are connected in sequence; a groove structure is formed between the first side edge and the second side edge; the lower parts of the middle sections of the two side edges are perpendicularly connected with a fixing plate respectively; the fixing plates are provided with first screw holes; a connecting plate is perpendicularly arranged fixedly at the lower part of the groove structure of the transverse plate; the connecting plate is provided with a second screw hole. The cover cap of the upright post for the protective fence can be attached to a lowercase-M-shaped upright post structure, is fixedly arranged at the top end of the upright post, and can be not only connected stably, but also can be convenient to disassemble and recycle.
