The invention discloses a guiding type protecting frame which comprises vertical trusses, fixing devices, embedded parts and a frame body. The frame body is connected with the vertical trusses which are connected with the fixing devices. The fixing devices are connected with a building through the embedded parts. The guiding type protecting frame is characterized in that the fixing devices are arranged in the vertical direction of the frame body, guiding tracks are arranged on the vertical trusses, the guiding tracks of the vertical trusses are clamped in guiding shoes at the front ends of the fixing devices, at a fixing state, bearing locating pins penetrate into bearing ear plates of the fixing devices, and locating ear plates at the bottoms of the vertical trusses are clamped into the bearing locating pins. A lifting method of the guiding type protecting frame is characterized by comprising the steps that 1. at a lifting state, the fixing devices are arranged at the positions, corresponding to the top layer of the building, of the vertical trusses, a steel wire rope of a tower crane hook is used for being connected with the upper portions of the two vertical trusses, a tower crane hoisting mechanism is started, and the protecting frame is lifted by one floor; 2. in a lifting process, the locating ear plates of the vertical trusses can jack open the bearing locating pins, and the bearing locating pins move obliquely in oblique strip-shaped holes of the bearing ear plates of the fixing devices; 3. after lifting by a certain distance, the bearing locating pins are automatically reset due to gravity effect and fall to the bottoms of the oblique strip-shaped holes again, after the frame body is lifted to an appointed position, the steel wire rope is loosened, and the locating ear plates are clamped on the bearing lifting pins; and 4. a fixing device at the bottom layer is detached. The guiding type protecting frame has the advantages that the structure is simple, cost is low, operation is convenient, during frame body lifting, vertical operation along the guiding track can be carried out, frame body spinning and swinging aloft are avoided, collision is avoided, safety and reliability are achieved, multipoint inclination resistance is achieved, the probability that the frame body topples is greatly lowered, occupied tower crane time is short, frame body lifting time is saved, working of work types is not delayed, a single vertical truss is light in weight, and carrying and mounting are convenient.
